Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway role, she was her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. For her role as Essie as Essie in You Can't Take It With You she received the Tony Award. Annaleigh Ashley, Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with directors, actors, and other performers on stage and screen for all of her career. Ashford's upcoming project is a limited-edition Hulu series titled Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show will premiere on the 22nd of November and Ashford stars opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford's current project will be Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust and he will be starring with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film is a Hulu Original and will be streamed on Disney DTC. Ashford is scheduled to return to Broadway in March 2023, with the role of Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is located at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the show. Ashford was Paula Jones, the main role in Ryan Murphy's latest FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the crisis which swept Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as well as other main actors into the very first impeachment proceedings in America for more than 100 years. Two seasons ago, Ashford was the main character of the hit show on CBS called B Positive. In addition, she appeared on the cult series, created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, with the legendary actresses Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. No stranger to Broadway Ashford has been awarded both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her performance as Essie. Her additional Broadway credits include Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the lead role in Lauren In Kinky Boots a performance for which she received another Tony Award nomination. Ashford has been born in Denver is now based between Los Angeles and New York.
